UP GBC 5.0 News: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed to prepare for the 5th Ground Breaking Ceremony (GBC@5) to be held in November. It will insist on investing more than ₹ 5 lakh crore, employment zone, fintech hub and export incentive.

Lucknow, 18 September. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed that the fifth ground braking ceremony (GBC@5) should be organized in November. This will include private investment projects worth more than ₹ 5 lakh crore. He said that in the last eight and a half years with the mantra of “Reform, Perform and Transform”, four ground braking ceremonies have been done so far. Through these, industrial projects worth more than ₹ 15 lakh crore landed on the ground and more than 60 lakh youth have got employment.

Priority of farmers’ interest in land acquisition

The Chief Minister directed the officials that the land acquisition should be done with harmony and dialogue. Farmers should be given proper and good compensation of their land. There should not be a complaint of harassment under any circumstances. The Industrial Development Authority should consider increasing the compensation rate in your areas so that the interests of the farmers are protected.

Export and Development of Fintech Hub

CM Yogi insisted on promoting exports-

  • Fintech hub will be developed in one of the areas of Noida, Greater Noida or Yamuna Authority.
  • Offices of large banking institutions will be established here.
  • Special efforts will also be made to increase the export of electronics products.

Right use of land and investors’ facility

The Chief Minister clarified that the units that did not use it for three years after allotment of land would be withdrawn and allocated to other investors. Also, he instructed to make the investment friend and investment charioteer portal easier. He said that the investor is small or big, he would not have to visit the offices.

GST improvement and benefit to public

The Chief Minister said that the public should get direct benefit of new GST reforms to be implemented from 22 September. He instructed the officials to ensure this.

Special employment zone scheme

It was discussed in the meeting that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel employment zone will be developed in every district.

  • It will be built on at least 100 acres of land.
  • Here industry, investment, entrepreneurship, innovation, skill development and employment will be promoted.
  • This scheme will prove to be a model for the whole country.

Goal of manufacturing sector

It was informed in the meeting that ₹ 5 lakh crore GVA has been set by the year 2025-26. For this, registration of 8,000 new/existing industrial units is necessary. So far, registration of 1,354 units has been completed. The Chief Minister also directed to increase the pace of labor reforms and activate unused industrial plots.
