Preparations for the shooting of ‘Mom-2’ have started in the International Film City being built in Jewar, UP. The process of land mapping and set construction is ongoing. Boney Kapoor-Bhutani Group is developing the project.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s dream project International Film City is now rapidly taking shape on the ground. ‘Mom-2’ is going to be shot as the first film shooting in the first International Film City of Uttar Pradesh which is being developed in Jewar area of Gautam Buddha Nagar. Initial preparations for this have started in the Film City campus.
Film Shooting Update: Land mapping and set construction process started
Bayview Bhutani Film City Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between Boney Kapoor and Bhutani Group, which is producing the project, has started the mapping of the land. According to officials, after the completion of mapping, the shooting set will be ready within about 20 days, after which the shooting of the film is likely to begin.
Boney Kapoor-Bhutani Group gets construction work
The work of International Film City project has been jointly entrusted to Bollywood producer-director Boney Kapoor and Bhutani Group. This company has signed an agreement with Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). After the approval of the layout plan, preparations for the first phase of the project have intensified.
Construction and shooting work of Film City will start soon
According to Rajeev Arora, GM of Bayview Bhutani Film City Project, along with the preparations for the shooting, the process of construction work of the Film City is also being started. After the mapping of the land is completed, the shooting set will be prepared in about 20 days, so that activities related to film production can begin.
He told that Boney Kapoor had produced the film ‘Mom’ released in 2017 and now it has been decided to shoot its second part in UP. There is also a possibility of formal inauguration of this project by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi soon.
Plan to make UP the center of film-OTT industry
This International Film City is being developed in Sector-21 of Yamuna Expressway. Its objective is to make Uttar Pradesh a national-international hub of film, OTT, web series and entertainment industry. This film city, to be built near Jewar International Airport, will be equipped with modern infrastructure, excellent connectivity and world-class facilities. Experts believe that the shooting of a film like ‘Mom-2’ is increasing the industry’s confidence in UP’s film policy and facilities. In future this project can become a strong alternative to film production centers like Mumbai.
