Uttar Pradesh’s exports have increased rapidly due to the policies of Yogi government. It will cross ₹1.31 lakh crore in 2025-26. ‘Made in UP’ is getting global recognition through IT-ITES, GI tag, MSME and strong infrastructure.

Lucknow. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh is continuously progressing rapidly in the field of exports. Due to the industry and export promotion policies of the state government, the state’s exports have doubled and ‘Made in UP’ has gained a strong identity in the global market. Uttar Pradesh’s total exports from April to November in the financial year 2025-26 reached ₹1,31,328 crore, registering a growth of 11.08 per cent as compared to ₹1,18,223.91 crore in the same period last year.

Big jump in exports from 2016 to 2025

If we look at the figures of previous years, the state’s exports in the year 2016-17 were around ₹ 86 thousand crore, which increased to a record level of ₹ 1.86 lakh crore in 2024-25. Considering the current pace, it is expected that this record will also be crossed in 2025-26.

Exports got a strong base due to the policies of Yogi government

The visionary policies of the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh, strong infrastructure, investment-friendly environment and facilities being provided to exporters have given a new identity to the state. The state is working rapidly on the thinking of ‘Local to Global’, due to which the products here are making their own place in the international market.

Tremendous growth in IT and ITES exports

Uttar Pradesh has also made great progress in the IT and ITES sector. While this export was ₹ 15 thousand crore in the year 2015, it has increased to more than ₹ 82 thousand crore in 2024-25. This growth is the result of investment and better policies in the service sector.

GI tag and local products are getting global recognition

The state government is promoting local products under the ‘Local to Global’ campaign. So far, 77 products from Uttar Pradesh have received the GI tag, while 152 other products are in the process. Due to this, traditional products are getting recognition and better prices in the international market.

New impetus to exports due to infrastructure development

Infrastructure has been strengthened to promote exports. The modern Expo Marts built in Lucknow and Greater Noida are connecting exporters to the global market. These centers are establishing Uttar Pradesh as a major trade hub for international buyers.
