At the Uttar Pradesh Day function, Home Minister Amit Shah enumerated the achievements of the Yogi government on development, law and order, investment and employment. He appealed to the public to rise above casteism and support BJP again.
Lucknow. The country’s Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Uttar Pradesh Day celebrations at Rashtra Prerna Sthal on Saturday. On this occasion, he started the program by lighting the lamp and encouraged the crowd by chanting Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Jai Shri Ram. He wished Uttar Pradesh Day to all the people living in Uttar Pradesh and India and abroad.
Decisive appeal to the public regarding elections
In his address, Home Minister Amit Shah made an emotional and clear appeal to the people of the state that in the coming elections, they should rise above casteism and completely reject dynastic parties and once again support the Bharatiya Janata Party. He said that Uttar Pradesh was once called a “labor source state”, but today it has become a “force state” of the Indian economy.
BJP government needs full majority
The Home Minister said that for the development of Uttar Pradesh, the bright future of the youth and the security of the country, it is necessary to once again form a BJP government with full majority and strong majority in the state. He said that dynastic parties like Congress, Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party cannot do welfare of the state. Only Bharatiya Janata Party can develop Uttar Pradesh.
Time to move Uttar Pradesh forward in the right direction again
Amit Shah said that Uttar Pradesh has been a strong pillar of the country’s security in every period. He said that the people of the state expressed trust in BJP in 2014, 2017, 2019 and 2022 and now the coming year is the year of elections, in which a decision will have to be taken once again to move the state forward in the right direction.
Development work of Modi and Yogi government
The Home Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have fully explored the development possibilities of Uttar Pradesh. Prime Minister Modi has connected the entire state to the National Highway Network. Today Uttar Pradesh has become the state in the country which has the maximum number of airports. Defense corridor has been established in the state, where BrahMos missile is being manufactured.
Strictness on law and order and corruption
Amit Shah said that Yogi government has a big role in the positive change seen in Uttar Pradesh. Strict action has been taken against corruption in the state, law and order has been strengthened and poor welfare schemes have been effectively implemented. He said that the BJP government has ensured that every village gets electricity for at least 20 hours in 24 hours.
Target of developed Uttar Pradesh by 2047
The Home Minister said that along with the goal of a developed India, a developed Uttar Pradesh is being built. When the country celebrates the centenary of independence on 15 August 2047, Uttar Pradesh will become a fully developed state and an important state of developed India. He said that Uttar Pradesh is the heartbeat and soul of India and will become the engine of development in the times to come.
Uttar Pradesh, the sacred land of pioneers
Amit Shah said that Uttar Pradesh is a sacred land, which has been sanctified by great pioneers like Lord Shri Ram, Shri Krishna, Baba Vishwanath, Mahavir and Lord Buddha. Praising the grandeur of the Rashtra Prerna Sthal, he said that the grand statues of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and Atal Bihari Vajpayee installed here will continue to give direction to the coming generations.
Journey from mountain of garbage to place of inspiration
The Home Minister said that where this grand national inspiration site stands today, there was once a mountain of garbage spread over 65 acres. The BJP government worked to convert the garbage into Kanchan and today this place has become a center of inspiration for the entire Uttar Pradesh.
Interest-free loan scheme for youth
Amit Shah said that every year one lakh youth are being given interest-free and guarantee-free loans of up to Rs 5 lakh, which also includes 10 percent subsidy. So far, 1.30 lakh youth have received benefits worth Rs 5,322 crore.
ODOP Scheme and Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman
The Home Minister said that One District-One Product (ODOP) was envisioned in 2017, which was made successful by the double engine government. Today this scheme has been implemented in the entire country and it has provided employment to artisans, women and youth. Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman was awarded to five distinguished personalities in the programme. Amit Shah especially appreciated the contribution of Dr. Hariom Panwar to social awareness through poems.
From food basket to force state
Amit Shah said that Uttar Pradesh has today become the food basket of the country. In the last three years, the agricultural growth rate of the state has been 17 percent and UP contributes 20 percent to the country’s food grain production. The state is number one in the country in sugarcane and ethanol production. 62 lakh poor people have got permanent houses and more than one crore people are being given pension benefits.
Investment, technology and strong law and order
The Home Minister said that investment proposals worth Rs 45 lakh crore have come in Uttar Pradesh, out of which projects worth Rs 15 lakh crore have come on the ground. IT exports have crossed Rs 82 thousand crores. UP has become a major investment destination in data centres, semiconductor and electronic manufacturing. He said that there has been a historic improvement in law and order, dacoity has reduced by 94 percent and robbery by 82 percent, both security and connectivity of border areas have been strengthened.
