Divyangjan Rojgar Abhiyan 2.0 will be run in UP from 6 to 13 February 2026. Under the Skill Development Mission, trained disabled people will be linked with jobs and self-employment. Opportunities will be available through industrial units, MSME schemes and Rojgar Sangam portal.
Lucknow. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government is going to take another important step to make the disabled people self-reliant. ‘Divyangjan Employment Campaign 2.0’ will be run by Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission in all the districts of the state from 06 to 13 February 2026. The objective of this campaign is to provide jobs as well as self-employment opportunities to the disabled people. This initiative is an important effort towards bringing them a respectable life, self-reliance and connecting them with the mainstream of society.
Skill Development Mission: Benefit of employment to trained disabled people
According to Kapil Dev Aggarwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, eligible disabled persons trained through Skill Development Mission and ITI in the last three years will be linked with employment under this campaign. Apart from this, other interested disabled people present in the district will also be able to take advantage of this campaign, due to which more people will get employment and self-employment opportunities.
Industrial Jobs and MSME Schemes: Focus on employment and self-employment
During this special campaign, persons with disabilities will be employed as per the vacancies available in the industrial units, institutions and establishments operating in the districts. Besides, disabled people will also be linked to MSME schemes, District Industry and Export Promotion Center and other government self-employment schemes, so that they can start their own business and become economically strong.
District Level Committee: Operating under the chairmanship of Chief Development Officer
Director of Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, Pulkit Khare said that in every district this campaign will be run by a committee constituted under the chairmanship of the Chief Development Officer. This committee will include:
- Representatives of District Industry and Export Promotion Center
- District Disability Empowerment Officer
- District Employment Assistance Officer
- District Coordinator of Skill Development Mission
During the stipulated period, activities related to employment and self-employment will be organized by making government ITI a centre.
Rojgar Sangam Portal: Online registration will also provide employment opportunities
Persons with disabilities registered on the Rozgar Sangam portal will also be included in this campaign. They will be connected to available jobs through the District Employment Assistance Officer. The government has directed that the campaign should be widely publicized at the district level, so that more and more disabled people can take advantage of it and join the mainstream of employment.
Top District Award: Honor to the best performing districts
On the basis of successful implementation of the campaign, the District Magistrates and their team of the top 5 districts of the state providing maximum employment and self-employment will be honored with certificates. Proof related to the number of employed disabled people, appointment letters and self-employment will be sought from all the districts by 5 pm on 13 February 2026.
