Scheme started in February 2018, villagers got respectable housing
Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana Gramin was started in February 2018. The main objective of this scheme is to provide permanent and secure houses to such families living in rural areas who did not have their own residence to live in or were in extreme need. Yogi government has made this scheme not just a government program but a medium to give respect and security to the poor.
Housing allocation based on need and sensitivity
Yogi government has clearly given priority to the needy in housing allocation. under the plan
- 93,300 natural disaster victims got permanent houses
- Houses allotted to 91,062 disabled people
- More than 50,000 Musahar community families got homes

From Vantangiya to Banjara, got my permanent house for the first time
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, many such communities have got permanent housing on a large scale for the first time, which had never got the real benefits of the schemes earlier. These include extremely backward and deprived communities like Vantangiya, Musahar, Tharu, Kol, Sahariya, Chero, Baiga, Nat and Banjara. These are those classes, which were earlier limited only to government statistics, but now under the vision of Yogi government, they have got their real rights.
Resolve to bring development to the last person
The Uttar Pradesh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has proved that when there is sensitivity in policy and firmness in decisions, the lives of even the weakest sections of the society can be changed. Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana Gramin is a strong example of this.
