In the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, many important decisions like amendment in Judicial Service Rules, investment in dairy plant in Bundelkhand, medical device park, sports complex in Ayodhya, development of new cities and implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0 were approved.

Lucknow. Many important proposals were approved in the Uttar Pradesh cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In the meeting, important decisions related to amendment in Judicial Service Rules, dairy project in Bundelkhand, medical device manufacturing unit, sports complex in Ayodhya, development of new cities, implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0 and Kanshi Ram Awas Yojana were taken.

Approval of amendment in Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Service Rules 1975

The Cabinet has approved the proposal to amend the Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Service Rules, 1975. On the basis of the recommendation of the High Court, Uttar Pradesh Higher Judicial Service (Eighteenth Amendment) Rules, 2026 will be implemented. Under this amendment, changes have been made in many rules related to recruitment, quota and selection process. Mainly amendments will be made in Rule-5 (Recruitment Sources), Rule-6 (Quota), Rule-18 (Selection Process), Rule-20 (Promotion), Rule-22 (Appointment) and Appendix-1. According to the new system, the quota for promotion from Civil Judge (Senior Division) has been reduced from 65 percent to 50 percent. This promotion will be given on the basis of seniority, qualification and suitability test.

At the same time, the quota for promotion through limited departmental competitive examination has been increased from 10 percent to 25 percent. Only those civil judges will be able to appear in this examination who have served at least 3 years on the post of Civil Judge (Senior Division) and have completed a total of 7 years of service in Uttar Pradesh Judicial Service. Apart from this, the quota for direct recruitment from advocates (Bar) has been kept at 25 percent as before.

Decision to increase dairy processing capacity in Bundelkhand

In the cabinet meeting, an important proposal related to increasing milk processing capacity in Bundelkhand region was approved. Under this, a new dairy plant with a capacity of 20 thousand liters per day will be established in Banda district. Besides, the dairy plant already established in Jhansi with a capacity of 10 thousand liters per day will be expanded to 30 thousand liters per day.

The civil and mechanical works of these projects will be done by Indian Dairy Machinery Company Limited on turn-key basis. The Cabinet has also approved the proposal to give centage charge to the company as per rules, the expense of which will be borne by the state government. Uttar Pradesh is the largest milk producing state in the country and the demand for milk products is continuously increasing in the state. With the completion of this project, milk producers will get better prices, the problem of milk spoilage will reduce and employment opportunities will increase in the area.

215 crore investment in Yamuna Expressway Medical Device Park

The Cabinet has approved the proposal to set up a medical device manufacturing unit in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) area. Under this, it has been decided to provide land subsidy to TI Medicals Private Limited. The company will invest approximately Rs 215.20 crore on 4.48 hectares of land in the Medical Device Park in Gautam Buddha Nagar.

This project is proposed under Uttar Pradesh FDI, FCI and Fortune India-500 Investment Promotion Policy-2023. As per the decision of the Cabinet, the company will be given a subsidy of Rs 14.77 crore as reimbursement. This amount will be provided after adjusting the subsidy already received under the Medical Device Park Scheme of the Central Government. This investment will boost the medical device manufacturing sector in the state and create new employment opportunities at the local level.

Land transfer for modern sports complex in Ayodhya

The Cabinet has approved the proposal to transfer land for the construction of a sports complex in Ayodhya district. This project will be built under the Chief Minister Global City Development Scheme. About 2500 square meter area of ​​Nazul land located in Chak No. 4, Mohalla Vashishtha Kund, Pargana Haveli Awadh, Tehsil Sadar of Ayodhya will be transferred to Municipal Corporation Ayodhya. The aim of the government is to provide better sports facilities to the youth by building a modern sports complex at this place.

Rs 425 crore approved for development of eight cities

The Cabinet approved the proposal to release funds worth ₹425 crore under the Chief Minister Urban Expansion/New Cities Incentive Scheme. The following cities will be developed under this scheme-

  • Orai
  • Chitrakoot
  • To tie
  • Pratapgarh
  • Ghazipur
  • Mau

For the development of these cities, the state government will provide maximum 50 percent of the cost of land acquisition in the form of seed capital.

New policy approved for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0

The Cabinet approved the issuance of a new policy for the implementation of Affordable Housing (AHP) and Affordable Rental Housing (ARH) schemes under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0. Under this scheme, each beneficiary will be given financial assistance of Rs 1.50 lakh from the Central Government and Rs 1 lakh from the State Government.

Apart from this, developers will be given exemption in land use change fee, map approval fee and external development fee, while beneficiaries will get relief in stamp duty.

Houses under Kanshiram Awas Yojana will be given to eligible Dalits.

An important decision regarding Kanshiram Awas Yojana was also taken in the cabinet meeting. Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna said that complaints of unauthorized occupation of Kanshiram houses have been received in many districts of the state. Such houses will be identified and vacated. After this, those houses will be repaired and painted and re-allocated to the eligible Dalit families. The cabinet approved this proposal unanimously. The aim of the government is to deliver these houses to the genuinely needy families.
