Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized on dialogue while talking to the media before the budget session. The budget for 2026-27 will be presented on 11 February. For the first time, the Economic Survey of UP will be placed in the House. The budget session will continue till February 20.
Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath spoke to media persons on Monday before the start of the budget session. CM informed that the budget session of Uttar Pradesh Legislature is starting from today, which is the 10th budget session of his government.
Appealing to all the members, he said that the Legislature is an important pillar of democracy. If any member has to raise any issue, then instead of disrupting the proceedings, the matter should be raised through dialogue, because the government believes in solution through dialogue.
The budget session will formally begin with the Governor’s address.
Chief Minister Yogi said that as per parliamentary traditions, the budget session will start with the Governor’s address. He said that the budget session has two main agendas – first, the address of the Honorable Governor and second, the general budget.
The Governor’s address is an important document of the government’s achievements and upcoming action plans, which is dedicated to the public through the House. All the members discuss this. Today the Governor will address the House.
Budget 2026-27 will be presented on 11 February, session will continue till 20 February
CM Yogi said that the general budget for the financial year 2026-27 will be presented on February 11. After this there will be a detailed discussion on the budget. He informed that the budget session will run from February 9 to February 20.
Economic survey of Uttar Pradesh will be presented in the House for the first time
The Chief Minister said that the Economic Survey of Uttar Pradesh will be presented in the House immediately after the Governor’s address. He said that this would be the first time that a state government would table its economic achievements in this manner in the House.
CM said that the government has taken Uttar Pradesh out of the image of a sick state and established it as a breakthrough state of the Indian economy. The Economic Survey covers all the important aspects like growth in per capita income, employment generation, financial management and making UP a consistent revenue surplus state. This report will be an important document for members to have data-based discussions.
Government ready to adopt valuable suggestions from every member
CM Yogi reiterated that the legislature runs through dialogue, not obstruction. The government is always ready to accept valuable suggestions from every member and discuss every issue. He also appealed to the opposition members not to disrupt the proceedings and avoid unnecessary noise, so that the House can play an effective role in the interest of the state.
Budget session will further accelerate the pace of development of UP
The Chief Minister said that new records have been made in the proceedings of the Legislature in the last 9 years. Not only the state but the entire country will have an eye on the budget session. This session will become an important platform for the honorable members to raise issues related to the public and will play a big role in accelerating the pace of development of Uttar Pradesh. The CM appealed to the members of all parties to carry forward the meaningful discussion.
