In the UP Budget 2026-27, pension to 1.6 crore beneficiaries under social security schemes, scholarship income limit increase, disabled welfare, health center worth Rs 859 crore in SGPGI, 4,600 new ambulances and a target of bringing 6 crore people out of poverty have been set.

Lucknow. Speaking on social security issues in the Assembly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that about 1.6 crore beneficiaries are associated with the Old Age Pension, Divyangjan Pension and Destitute Women Pension Scheme. Each beneficiary is being given Rs 12,000. He said that a provision has been made in the budget to increase this amount. The money goes directly into the account through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer), so that there is no interruption in between.

Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala and increased assistance amount in mass marriage scheme

The Chief Minister said that under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana, a package of Rs 25,000 is being given from the birth of the daughter till she becomes marriageable. 26 lakh daughters are benefiting from this. Under the Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme, first Rs 31,000, then Rs 51,000 were given and now it has been increased to Rs 1 lakh. To avail the benefits of the scheme, the annual income limit has been increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 3 lakh.

Scholarship and fee reimbursement: Income limit increased to Rs 2.5 lakh

The Chief Minister said that the income limit for Purva Dasham and Post Dasham scholarships was earlier Rs 2 lakh, which has now been increased to Rs 2.50 lakh. Provision has been made to develop Sarvodaya Vidyalaya and four schools as centers of excellence for Scheduled Caste and Tribe students.

Under the Chief Minister Abhyudaya Coaching Scheme started during the Covid period, 59 students have been selected in UPSC, 136 in UPPCS and 771 in NEET-IIT JEE. A provision of Rs 3,060 crore has been made for OBC scholarship. A separate budget has also been kept for computer training.

Electric tricycle for disabled daughters: Provision of Rs 60 crore

The Chief Minister said that disabled daughters will be given electric tricycles, which can be charged from mobile phones. With this they will be able to reach school easily. A budget provision of Rs 60 crore has been made for this.

Disabled welfare schemes: grant of Rs 1,470 crore

A provision of Rs 1,470 crore has been made for the maintenance of disabled people. There is a provision of Rs 38 crore for the artificial limb equipment distribution program in each assembly constituency. A provision of Rs 41 crore has been made for free travel of disabled people in Transport Corporation buses and Rs 200 crore for educational rehabilitation.

The Chief Minister announced that a quaternary care health center would be set up at the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences. Rs 859 crore will be given in the first phase, of which Rs 359 crore will be for construction and Rs 500 crore for state-of-the-art equipment. This will be a modern super specialty and research center of the country.

Digital Health, e-Sanjeevani and Telemedicine

Services like Unified Disease Surveillance, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, e-Sanjeevani, telemedicine and teleradiology have been implemented in the state, due to which health services have become digital and accessible.

CT scan and MRI facilities have been expanded in about 100 hospitals. More than 75,000 appointments have been made from ANM to specialist doctors. A 500-bed hospital will be built in Ayodhya, which will have trauma and super specialty facilities. There is also a budget provision for construction of hostels in 27 medical colleges.

Target to lift 6 crore people above poverty line

The Chief Minister said that the government aims to bring 6 crore people out of multidimensional poverty. The person who goes above the poverty line, his facilities will not be stopped, but he will be made self-reliant.

Sports kits to 96,000 youth-mangal parties

Sports kits have been given to more than 96,000 Yuvak Mangal Dal and Mahila Mangal Dal in the state. Rural League, MLA and MP sports competitions are being organised.

The Chief Minister said that earlier there was ‘Inspector Raj’ in the Labor Department, but now ‘Facilitator’ model has been adopted. Emphasis has been laid on ‘Ease of Doing Business’ and ‘Ease of Quality Living’. The number of factories in the state has increased from 14,000 to more than 31,000. Uttar Pradesh has become the state that has established the maximum number of new factories in the last two years.
