A big controversy has come to light amid Bihar assembly elections. In fact, Ketki Singh, Bharatiya Janata Party MLA from Bansdih (UP), has hurt the sentiments of the local people by throwing Paag of Mithila in a program organized in Darbhanga. On 22 October 2025, an NDA workers conference was held in Alinagar, Darbhanga, in which Ketki Singh was present as the chief guest. He was welcomed in the program wearing a Paag which is considered to be the identity and honor of Mithila, but the MLA threw away the Paag received as a welcome and asked what is this Paag.
