UP: Big relief to farmers of Bareilly from Yogi’s PM Kusum Yojana, 1002 solar pumps will be available at huge discount.

Yogi government has set a target of 1,002 solar pumps for the farmers of Bareilly under PM Kusum Yojana. Farmers will get the facility to apply for only Rs 5,000. The allotment will be through e-lottery and grants up to Rs 2.5 lakh are available on various categories.

Bareilly (UP). Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has given a big gift to the farmers of Bareilly. Bareilly district has been given special priority this year to solve the irrigation problem and increase the income of farmers. Under PM Kusum Yojana, 40,521 solar pumps will be installed across the state, out of which 1,002 solar pumps have been earmarked for Bareilly. The Agriculture Department has appealed to the eligible farmers of the district to apply online by December 15. Deputy Director Agriculture Amarpal Singh said that pump allocation to registered farmers will be done through e-lottery with complete transparency. The application will be valid only on the official website of the Agriculture Department.

Only Rs 5,000 token money in application – easy process

To apply for PM Kusum Yojana, farmers will have to deposit only Rs 5,000 token money. After payment, booking confirmation will be sent to farmers mobile. After reducing the grant, farmers will be able to deposit the remaining amount online. If they wish, they can also deposit their share by taking loan from the bank. 6% interest rebate will also be available on this under AIF scheme. Solar pumps will be made available to eligible farmers only after completion of boring and land verification.

Farmers’ interest is highest in Bhojipura, Mirganj, Fatehganj, Senthal, Baheri and Faridpur blocks. At the same time, applications are also increasing rapidly in Gangapur, Bisharatganj and Nawabganj.

Technical conditions required for boring

According to the Agriculture Department, the following standards are mandatory for boring:

2 HP Pump → 4 Inch Boring

3 and 5 HP Pump → 6 Inch Boring

7.5 and 10 HP Pump → 8 Inch Boring

If at the time of verification the boring is not found to be as per the standard, the application will be rejected and the token money deposited will also be confiscated.

Income of farmers of Bareilly district will increase

This scheme is greatly reducing the irrigation cost of farmers and freeing them from dependence on electricity and diesel. Deputy Director Agriculture Amarpal Singh said that this scheme will directly benefit the income of farmers in Bareilly district. The aim is that more and more farmers should take advantage of this scheme and move towards self-reliant agriculture.
