In Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government distributed 69,804 smartphones and 18,440 appointment letters to digitize Anganwadis. Projects worth Rs 450 crore will give new strength to nutrition, education and child development.
Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a big step towards making the Anganwadi system of Uttar Pradesh digital, strong and modern in a grand program organized at Lok Bhavan. On this occasion, he distributed smartphones to 69,804 Anganwadi workers and chief servants. Besides, appointment letters were given to 18,440 workers and assistants. Apart from this, many projects related to women and child development costing more than Rs 450 crore were also inaugurated and foundation stones laid.
69,804 Smartphone Distribution: Start of Digital Anganwadi
The Chief Minister took an important initiative towards digitalizing Anganwadi services by distributing 69,804 smartphones. With the help of these smartphones, now children’s nutrition records, monitoring of pregnant women and real-time data of schemes can be updated. This will increase transparency in services and the pace of work will also increase.
18,440 appointment letters: System strengthened by Anganwadi recruitment
In the programme, appointment letters were given to 18,440 Anganwadi workers and assistants. This will fill the vacant posts and also strengthen the services at the grassroots level. The Chief Minister gave the message of transparent recruitment process by giving appointment letters from the stage to selected women of many districts including Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sidhauli and Gosaiganj.
Distribution of modern equipment to fight malnutrition
CM Yogi also gave modern equipment to Anganwadi workers for growth monitoring. 10,553 infantometers, 1,33,282 stadiometers and 58,237 mother-child weighing scales are being provided in the state. With the help of these devices, the length, height and weight of children will be accurately monitored, so that malnutrition can be identified in time.
Saksham Anganwadi Centre: New Model of Education and Development
23,697 Anganwadi centers in the state have been developed as ‘Saksham Anganwadi’ on which Rs 236 crore has been spent. Facilities like LED screens, RO water, ECCE kits and modern furniture have been provided in these centres. Now these centers are not limited to just nutrition distribution, but are becoming centers for children’s education, health and mental development.
Anganwadi network expanded in 75 districts
About 1.89 lakh Anganwadi centers are operating under 897 child development projects in 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The government aims to gradually make all these centers smart and digital. The government believes that a healthy and educated childhood is the foundation of a strong nation. With this objective, children are being provided better nutrition, early education and safe environment.
Chief Minister distributed appointment letters and smartphones from the stage
In the program, the Chief Minister honored many beneficiaries from the stage-
- Among Anganwadi workers, appointment letters were given to Meera Devi (Rae Bareli), Mahima (Amethi), Shahrunishaan (Sidhauli), Shailu Singh (Gosaiganj), Kiran, Subhashini and Maneka Pal.
- Among the assistants, appointment letters were also given to Manju Singh, Muskaan Sonkar and Ruma Devi and others.
Workers got respect in smartphone distribution
The Chief Minister gave smartphones to Anganwadi workers of Lucknow – Asha Yadav, Preeti Saini, Amita Mishra, Archana Rawat, Maya Devi, Sunita Rastogi, Nidhi Jaiswal, Meena Shukla, Priya Pal and Neha Bharti. Apart from this, Poonam Rai, Aruna Vajpayee, Meenu Devi, Rumi Rani and Usha Devi were also honored among the main maids.
Distribution of Growth Monitoring Devices
Growth monitoring devices were also given to Anganwadi workers and helpers in the program. These include stadiometer, infantometer and weighing scale. During this, these devices were given to many beneficiaries like Nahid Parveen, Savitri, Yutika Singh, Radha Pandey, Aastha Pal, Anita, Neelu Rawat, Rajrani, Bina Mishra and Rekha Mishra.
