Up government zero poverty initial: Have you ever thought that crores of people in a state can come out of poverty in just a few years? This is happening in Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented such details of the government’s eight -year achievements in the Legislative Council, which put both the speed of development and the picture of change.
Why is this campaign being considered a historic step in poverty alleviation?
CM Yogi said that in the last eight years more than 6 crore people have been taken out of poverty. Now 14 lakh families have been identified under the ‘Zero Poverty Abhiyan’ and their family ID has also been formed. Its aim is that no family should be deprived of basic facilities.

From village to city, wave of change in every sector
Center of Excellence is being built in Kaushambi, Chandauli, Saharanpur, Lucknow, Hapur and Kushinagar in the agricultural sector. 20 new agricultural science centers are also being established. At the same time, Mahatma Buddha is being built rapidly at the University of Agriculture and Technology, Kushinagar. There has also been a big change in the urban connectivity, before 2017, where there were only 2 expressways in the state, now there have been 22, out of which 7 are current, 5 under construction and 10 are proposed. Industrial development is getting a new direction from the multimodal logistics hub in Dadri and the Eastern-Western Freight Corridor Junction.
Religious tourism and cultural heritage rejuvenation
Religious tourism has been given a new dimension by rejuvenating places like Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Ayodhya Dham, Braj Tirtha Vikas Parishad and Vindhyavasini Dham. According to the CM, the participation of crores of devotees in events like Mahakumbh not only increased religious importance but also strengthened the local economy.
How did the change in security and law and order?
The state, who won under the shadow of crime and insecurity from 1947 to 2017, has now identified a new model of law and order. More than 2.19 lakh police recruitments, cyber police stations in 75 districts to stop cybercrime and major fall in crime rates-94%in robbery, 82%in robbery, 47%in murder 47%-These changes are not only the figures, but proof of the trust of citizens.
Target of 2047: ‘Developed Uttar Pradesh’
The government has set a target in the ‘Vision Document 2047’ to make UP an economy of $ 1 trillion by 2030 and the growth rate should be increased to 20% in the next five years. For this, there will be work on a phased scheme in 12 major sectors including agriculture, industry, tourism, energy, education, health and security.
