In the Advanced Agriculture Festival 2026 organized in Raisen, farmers were given complete information about seeds, fertilizers, irrigation, banking and market. Big leaders were present in the program and benefits of many schemes were also distributed.
Bhopal/Raisen. April 11 was a very special day for the farmers of Madhya Pradesh. In the ‘Unnat Krishi Mahotsav 2026’ organized at Dussehra ground in Raisen, every important information related to farming was given to the farmers at one place. Here seeds, fertilizers, horticulture, irrigation management, solutions to banking problems and modern agricultural machines were displayed.
In this festival, farmers were given information about many aspects of farming by setting up different stalls. Besides, ‘e-Forms’ app was also launched for the convenience of farmers. The event will continue till April 13 and benefits of several schemes were also distributed in it.
Presence of big leaders in the program and schemes for farmers
Many public representatives including Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan were present in this program. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that India’s global image has strengthened under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that Bhoomi Pujan of BEML’s first railway factory in Madhya Pradesh has also been done, which is a big achievement for the state.
He said that the agriculture sector is developing rapidly and farmers are getting better prices. This year wheat is being purchased at Rs 2625 per quintal (including Rs 40 bonus). Besides, the scope of irrigation has increased in the state and now farmers are getting electricity even during the day.
Raisen’s basmati rice exported to 47 countries
The Chief Minister said that Raisen district is now gaining recognition at the international level. The Basmati rice here is being exported to 47 countries of the world. He said that the government is continuously running schemes for farmers, youth, women and the poor and the year 2026 has been declared as ‘Farmers Welfare Year’.
Rajnath Singh said – this festival can change the fate of farmers
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that this festival organized in Raisen will prove to be very beneficial for the farmers. Here farmers are getting information about government schemes, direct access to the market and measures to avoid middlemen. He said that farmers are the backbone of the country’s economy and farming is a challenging task. The government has started schemes like Soil Health Card, which enables farmers to choose the right crop and fertilizer. He advised the youth to start startups in the agriculture sector, so that farmers can get better markets and increase their income.
Shivraj Singh Chauhan: Plan to make MP a horticulture hub
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that the Madhya Pradesh government is celebrating 2026 as the Year of Agricultural Welfare. He said that in this festival, scientists, progressive farmers and experts have come together on one platform, where more than 20 topics are being discussed.
He said that it is necessary to increase the income of farmers for the development of the country. The government is preparing agricultural roadmap for every state and work is being done towards making Madhya Pradesh a horticulture hub. Apart from this, it has been decided to open 55 pulses mills in the state and pulses will be purchased at MSP.
