Where is the brother-sister temple in Madhya Pradesh?
This famous temple of brother and sister is situated on the banks of Tapti river in Betul, Madhya Pradesh. It is believed that in ancient times, Yamraj himself came here with his brother Shanidev and sisters Yamuna and Tapti. Sister Tapti started flowing like a river at this place. Due to which this place became even more sacred. Later Yamraj and Shanidev started coming here to meet their sister. Due to which this place became sacred for brother and sister. Due to this legend, people built a temple here and installed the statues of Yamraj, Shanidev, Yamuna and Tapti. Since then people know it as the temple of brothers and sisters.
