Uniforms now uniform in schools of Rajasthan, know when will the new rule be implemented and why?

Same uniform rule will be applicable in all the schools of Rajasthan. Education Minister Madan Dilawar said, there will be no tie because it is a western concept. Government will issue notification soon, private schools protested. Know when will the new rule come into effect?

Jaipur. Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar has made a big announcement – now all government and private schools in the state will have the same uniform and tie will not be included in it. Minister Madan Dilawar said the tie is a “Western concept” and has no place in Indian attire. He said that the government is going to issue a notification in this regard soon.

Why did Rajasthan government take this step?

Education Minister Madan Dilawar said that this decision was taken so that the children of government schools do not feel inferior to private schools. He said, “Many children compare themselves with children from rich families and consider themselves inferior. Uniform uniform will eliminate this difference and increase the feeling of equality among the children.”

What is the thinking behind banning tie?

Minister Madan Dilawar said that tie is not a part of Indian culture. He said that “pant-shirt” has now been accepted by the society, but foreign things like tie should be removed so that both ‘Indianness’ and equality are maintained in schools.

Uniform will be mandatory for teachers also

  • Education Minister Madan Dilawar also told that he is planning to bring a uniform for teachers also.
  • He says that this will maintain both discipline and uniformity in schools.
  • This will be the first time in the country that a compulsory dress code will be implemented for teachers in any state.

Protest against private schools – said ‘we will go to court’

While the government is calling it a symbol of equality, many private school associations are unhappy with the move. Damodar Goyal, lawyer of the Private School Association in Jaipur, said, “It is the right of the schools to decide the dress, the government cannot make it compulsory. We will challenge this order in the court.”

When will the order arrive and what will be the effect?

  • Education Minister Madan Dilawar said that the government will soon issue a formal notification.
  • However, Congress leaders said that it will have to be passed by the cabinet first.
  • If approved, the new uniform rule will come into effect from the next academic session.
