After the incident, Nikita was taken to Ambala Civil Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. As soon as this news reached the family and local people, a huge uproar started in the hospital. The family says that if the accused had been a common citizen, action would have been taken immediately, but because he was a policeman, the case could have been suppressed.
