Unidentified woman’s body found in garbage truck in Bengaluru, police suspect murder

Bengaluru: In a chilling discovery, the body of an unidentified woman, believed to be in her thirties, was found stuffed inside a gunny sack in a garbage truck in the city. The incident came to light when BBMP sanitation workers alerted police after noticing the suspicious sack. The woman’s hands and neck were tied, indicating foul play. Authorities have registered a case of murder and sent the body for a post-mortem examination.

Preliminary investigation suggests the perpetrator transported the body in an auto-rickshaw before abandoning it in the garbage vehicle during the early hours of the morning, between 1 am and 3 am. Police are examining CCTV footage from the area to identify and trace the suspect. The case is being investigated by the Channammanakere Achchukattu Police Station. Joint Commissioner of Police C Vamsi Krishna confirmed the murder and said efforts are underway to nab the accused.

This incident comes close on the heels of another murder in Bengaluru, where 33-year-old Harini R, a married woman and mother of two, was allegedly killed by her lover, Yashas, aged 25. According to reports, Harini had been trying to end the relationship after her family learned about it. She was stabbed to death in a hotel room after agreeing to meet Yashas one final time.
