Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the completion of 12 years of the Central Government under his leadership.
Sai also wrote a letter to PM Modi in this regard. In the letter, the Chhattisgarh CM stated that PM Modi’s visionary leadership, strong political will, and Antyodaya-focused policies have brought historic transformation in the fields of development, good governance, security and public welfare in the state.
Sai also expressed deep gratitude to the Prime Minister and said that the schemes and support of the Central Government have given new momentum and direction to the state’s progress.
In his letter, the Chief Minister highlighted the success achieved against Naxalism. He stated that over the last 12 years, the Centre has provided continuous support by giving equal priority to security and development in Naxal-affected regions, helping Chhattisgarh move very close to the goal of becoming Naxal-free.
“Initiatives such as the Special Central Assistance Scheme, Security Related Expenditure Scheme, Special Infrastructure Scheme, supply of modern weapons, air support and jungle warfare training significantly strengthened the capabilities of security forces,” he added.
Sai also talked about the expansion of roads, mobile networks, electricity, education and healthcare facilities in remote regions of the state. The Chhattisgarh CM said that over 3,222 kilometres of roads and several major bridges were constructed in Naxal-affected regions, connecting areas that had remained cut off for decades.
In the letter, Said also mentioned initiatives such as PM-JANMAN, Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, Eklavya schools, recognition of forest rights and tribal museums as milestones in the upliftment of tribal communities.
Sai credited PM Modi’s initiatives for the transformation in the healthcare sector. He stated that Ayushman Bharat, the National Health Mission and the Prime Minister Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission led to rapid expansion of healthcare services.
Emphasising the Central Government’s support in women empowerment and livelihood generation, the Chief Minister said that lakhs of women have been connected to self-help groups through the National Rural Livelihood
Highlighting reforms in industry, mining, and investment, the Chief Minister stated that policy reforms and initiatives of the Central Government have positioned Chhattisgarh as an attractive investment destination.
The CM said that Chhattisgarh is achieving remarkable progress in tourism, sports, skill development, digital governance, telecom expansion, solar energy and modern irrigation projects, because of the support of the Centre.
Concluding his letter, the chief minister said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Chhattisgarh has touched new heights in security, governance, infrastructure, agriculture, industry, tribal welfare, and public welfare.
