CM Mohan Yadav performed the Bhoomi Pujan of Hariyakheri Water Augmentation Project worth ₹1133.67 crore in Ujjain. This project will ensure pure water supply in Simhastha 2028. Also, emphasis was laid on mother-child health, religious tourism, employment and infrastructure development.
Ujjain. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav performed the Bhoomi Pujan of Hariyakhedi Water Augmentation Project to be built at a cost of ₹ 1,133.67 crore in a program organized at Kalidas Academy, Ujjain. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various development works worth ₹47.23 crore.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister launched ‘Project Samvardhan’ (Maternal and Child Nutrition) through single click. Before the program, he also visited the exhibition based on water augmentation project and water supply system of the area.
Preparation for Simhastha 2028: Ujjain will get permanent water solution
The Chief Minister said that the country is continuously progressing under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. With the construction of Mahakal Lok, Ujjain has gained recognition as a global spiritual tourism centre. Keeping in mind the preparations for Simhastha 2028, Hariyakhedi Water Augmentation Project has been started. This project will provide pure drinking water to the devotees and city residents coming during Simhastha. Also, water supply to every house will be ensured for a long time. He said that the successful organization of Simhastha 2028 will increase the pride of the entire state.
Government on the path of Antyodaya: Focus on mother-child health and poor welfare
While paying tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay on his death anniversary, the Chief Minister said that the government is working in the spirit of Antyodaya. ‘Project Samvardhan’ has been started to strengthen maternal and child health in Ujjain district. Activities like felicitation of meritorious students and distribution of kits to sanitation workers were also organised. The Chief Minister informed that Dhanvantari Institute of Ayurveda will be opened in Ujjain. Under the guidance of the Prime Minister, a big gift will soon be received in the field of Ayurveda education and medicine.
Religious tourism and employment generation: Ujjain will become the center of development
The Chief Minister said that the state government is developing all the places associated with Lord Krishna as pilgrimage sites. An ideal example has been set by implementing liquor ban in Ujjain, Orchha and other religious cities. Industries are being encouraged to provide employment to youth and women in the state. Women will get employment by starting a readymade garment unit near Ujjain. He told that programs of Baba Mahakal are being broadcast by Akashvani Ujjain. Simhastha 2028: Special arrangements for 5 crore devotees
The Chief Minister said that devotees from all over the world will come to Ujjain in Simhastha 2028. The government is completing all the preparations on time. 5 crore devotees will be able to take bath at the ghats of Kshipra river. A small and a big bridge are being built near Ramghat. He informed that the grand Geeta Bhawan will be inaugurated in March and Bhoomi Pujan of Ujjain-Indore four lane road will be done soon. Work is also going on towards making Ujjain a part of the metropolitan city.
