Chennai: Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, who filed his nomination papers for the Chepauk-Triplicane constituency in Chennai, has disclosed total assets worth ₹20.64 crore. According to his nomination affidavit, this comprises movable assets of ₹12.92 crore and immovable assets valued at ₹7.72 crore.
Vehicle and land holdings
The filing states that Udhayanidhi Stalin owns a Defender car worth ₹1 crore and an Innova car valued at ₹23 lakh. He also owns 10.5 acres of agricultural land in Ulundai village, located in Thiruvallur district. The nomination papers specify that he does not hold any gold or silver jewelry in his own name.
Wife’s assets
Udhayanidhi Stalin has declared that his wife possesses movable assets worth ₹13.25 crore, but holds no immovable assets.
Election context
Udhayanidhi Stalin is contesting from the Chepauk-Triplicane constituency as the DMK candidate. He had earlier announced his candidacy during a meeting with party representatives and office-bearers at the DMK headquarters in Anna Arivalayam. The constituency is currently held by the DMK, and Udhayanidhi Stalin previously won from this seat in the 2021 Assembly elections.
