Uttarakhand Board Exam 2026: Exam dates announced, excitement among students

There is good news for the students of Uttarakhand. The schedule of board examinations 2026 has been officially declared by the Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education (UBSE). This time the high school and intermediate examinations will start from 21st February and will continue till 20th March 2026. Director of Secondary Education Dr. Mukul Kumar Sati informed the students about the examination schedule. As soon as the examination schedule comes in front, an atmosphere of excitement and enthusiasm is being seen among the students regarding their preparation.

When and how long will the board exams be held?

Uttarakhand Board 2026 examination will start from 21st February and conclude on 20th March. Before this, experimental examinations of high school and intermediate will be conducted from 16 January to 15 February 2026. This year, more than two lakh students from across the state are expected to appear in the board exams. The education department and the board administration have become fully active to successfully conduct a large number of examinations.

Institutional and individual candidates in 10th-12th

• High School: 1,10,573 institutional + 2,106 individual students
• Intermediate: 99,345 institutional + 4,097 individual students

Secretary of Uttarakhand School Education Council, Vinod Prasad Simalti said that 50 single and 1,211 mixed centers have been made for the examination. 24 new centers have been included in these while there are 156 sensitive and 6 hypersensitive centres.

This year there will be a written examination of 29 questions in high school and 45 questions in intermediate. Written answer sheets will be collected at sub-collection centres.

Special arrangements for fair and cheating-free examination

Dr. Mukul Kumar Sati said that the board administration is making special arrangements to make the examination fair and cheating free. Security and transparency will be ensured in all examination centres. He said that this examination is very important for the academic future of the students.

Emphasis on cheating-free examination

Uttarakhand Board examinations are related to the future of lakhs of students of the state. In view of this, emphasis is being laid on conducting the examinations in a cheating-free, peaceful and transparent manner. Now that the exam dates have been announced, students have started their final preparations.

In the year 2025 also, the board exams started from 21st February and ended on 11th March 2025. A total of around 2,23,403 students had participated. The results were declared on 19 April 2025.
