New Delhi: Aryansh Sharma and Sohaib Khan notched up brilliant half-centuries to power UAE to a 5-wicket win against Canada in a T20 World Cup Group D clash in Delhi on Friday. While Aryansh remained unbeaten on 74 runs off 53 balls, Sohaib smashed a fiery 51-run knock of just 29 balls in an under pressure situation where the side had to chase 151 runs.
This memorable win for the UAE side, with two balls to spare, became their first victory in marquee event taking them to the third spot in the Group D points table below South Africa and New Zealand. The innings from these two batters became the turning point in the game for the UAE team as rest of the batters failed to showcase aby effort, getting dismissed cheaply.

UAE batters showcase composure
Saad Bin Zafar gave regular breakthroughs in the middle overs with splendid figures of 3/14 but Sharma and Khan anchored the chase make things difficult for Canada. Jaskaran Singh and Kaleem Sana also picked up a wicket each but could not stop the UAE side from reaching home.
Earlier in the first innings, Junaid Siddique grabbed a maiden five-wicket (5/35) as UAE pulled things back in the back end after Harsh Thaker (50 off 41 balls; 2├Ч4, 3├Ч6) and Navneet Dhaliwal (34 off 28; 4├Ч4)┬а played splendid knocks for Canada to help them cross the 150-run mark.
