Tejashwi Yadav’s claim was termed as Election Commission

Tejashwi Yadav had earlier claimed that he is not named in the draft voter list released on 1 August. He later accused the Election Commission that his EPIC number had been changed. However, EC has termed these claims as false. The commission said that during investigation, it has been revealed that his name is at serial number 416 of polling station number 204 located at the library building of Bihar Animal Sciences University. EPIC number is a type of voter ID card. It is released by the Election Commission. It is used to identify voter. If two EPIC numbers are issued to a person, it is against the rules.
