Ghatkesar: Two Engineering students died and two others sustained serious injuries, when a speeding car crashed into a pillar near pillar number 97 of the Uppal-Narapally elevated corridor bridge in Medchal district.
About eight students were traveling from Boduppal to IT Pocharam, when the driver lost control. The victims are students from Wanaparthy district and are identified as Sai Varun, Nikhil.
The injured Venkat and Rakesh were shifted to a nearby private hospital. The remaining students, Yashwanth, Sathwik, Harshavardhan, and Abhinav, escaped unharmed.
A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
