Twinkle Khanna Reveals Why Akshay Kumar Called Her ‘Maha Pakau’ After She Wrote Poem For Him

Bollywood’s power couple Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna are known for their sassy but sweet chemistry, quick wit, and hilarious banter.

The duo once again left audiences in splits when Akshay joined Twinkle on her and Kajol’s talk show Two Much With Kajol And Twinkle, alongside Haiwan co-star Saif Ali Khan. The episode, filled with laughter and lively exchanges, gave fans another glimpse into the couple’s humorous relationship.

During the conversation, Akshay shared one of his trademark anecdotes, leaving everyone laughing. He said, ” I recently went to Scotland and we were having lunch. Something really fancy was written on the menu in French. I thought this must be something very good. So, I asked, ‘Can I have one of these?’ Guess what it was, bread-butter!”

With this story, he wanted to highlight how simplicity in life is important. He added, “I think life should be very simple.” The actor went on to explain how he and Twinkle often debate about keeping things uncomplicated. “This argument we both have. I think, if anything has to be explained, it should be explained in a very simple way. Twinkle quoted Socrates, ‘An unexamined life is not worth living, it’s only living for cattle.’ To this, Akshay said, ‘Simplicity is the golden word today.'”

Why does Akshay think Twinkle is ‘maha pakau’?

Twinkle then recalled a funny moment from their marriage, revealing the time she wrote a poem for Akshay. “I wrote him a poem and the title was, ‘Two peas in a pod died of inertia,'” she shared, laughing. Akshay’s response to her poetic effort was equally amusing. “You are such a maha pakau,” she revealed he had told her, much to the amusement of Kajol and Saif, who burst out laughing.

The lighthearted exchange perfectly captured the couple’s dynamic – Twinkle’s intellectual and reflective nature balanced by Akshay’s simplicity and humour. Over the years, the two have become one of Bollywood’s most adored pairs, often teasing each other but always with love and warmth.
