TVS Raider 125 vs Hero Xtreme 125R: Price Cut After GST 2.0

New Delhi: Nowadays, people are following the trend toward retro, classic, or cafe racer bikes, but not everyone can ride these bikes due to their heavy weight, and some people cannot afford them because of their expensive price range. There are groups of riders who are looking for a sport bike that is lightweight, durable, and most importantly, budget-friendly.

Here are two bikes from different brands, the Raider 125 and the Xtreme 125r. However, the bikes are from an Indian motorcycle maker. These are two sports bikes that are very popular among Indians, especially among young riders. Both bikes are packed with 125cc engine power. These bikes will be available with a price cut after the GST 2.0 reform, and buyers can save up to Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 9,000 on purchase after 22 September 2025.

Raider 125 and Xtreme 125R powertrains

Both of the sports bikes are packed with 125cc engines. The TVS Raider 125 can produce 11.2 BHP at 7500 rpm, while the Hero Xtreme 125R, making the difference of 700 rpm, goes to 8250 rpm at 11.4 BHP. Even at speeds of 0 to 60, Xtreme is just one second ahead of Raider. The Xtreme took 5.7 sec, while the Raider took 5.8 however, it does not create a huge difference. The Xtreme features an air-cooled engine, while the Raider comes with both liquid- and air-cooled engine options. Two of them have five gear options with one down and four up. Both have alloy wheels along with the front disc brake and rear drum brake setup.

Raider 125 and Xtreme 125R Features 

In terms of features, the Raider is ahead of the Xtreme; the TVS Raider is equipped with a reverse multicolor LCD digital display with more than 85 connected features like call management and voice assist. On the other hand, Xtreme does not provide these features. Both sporties have the same fuel capacity of 10 liters; however, different mileage is claimed by the company. The TVS claimed for their Raider is 56.7 km/l, while the Hero Xtreme features mileage up to 66 km/l. Both bikes come with split-seat and single-seat options.

Price cut after GST 2.0 reform

The TVS Raider 125, sold at a starting price of Rs. 87,625 to Rs. 102,915 (ex-showroom), now comes with a price cut of Rs. 6,845. However, on the purchase of a Hero Xtreme, customers can save Rs. 9,000, while the starting price for the bike is Rs. 98,839 to Rs. 102,512 (ex-showroom).
