TVS Orbiter EV Debuts in India: Entry-Level E-Scooter With 158 km Range

TVS has launched its new electric scooter, Orbiter, in India. This entry-level model boasts a range of up to 158 km, smart connectivity features, and a modern design. It’s priced at Rs 99,900 and competes with Ola S1X, Bajaj Chetak, Hero Vida VX2.

TVS, the domestic two-wheeler giant, has launched its new electric scooter, Orbiter, in India. This is the third electric scooter from TVS after iQube and X. TVS has released it as an entry-level model. This scooter will directly compete with Ola S1X, Bajaj Chetak 3001, and Hero Vida VX2 in the market. Design and Features

The company described the Orbiter as the best aerodynamic e-scooter in India. It comes with an LED headlamp, front windscreen, and 14-inch alloy wheels in its minimalist design. The 290 mm footboard provides more legroom, and there is 34 liters of under-seat storage. It includes two ride modes: Eco and Power, regenerative braking, cruise control, hill-hold assist, a USB charging slot, and reverse mode.

Powerful Range and Battery

The TVS Orbiter offers a 3.1 kWh battery pack that can travel up to 158 km on a single charge. In comparison, the same battery in the TVS iQube can travel 123 km. Meanwhile, the 3.5 kWh battery pack in the iQube can only travel 145 km.

Smart Connectivity

The Orbiter features a color LCD display that connects to a smartphone. It offers advanced features like call alerts, navigation, live location, geo-fencing, fall detection, theft alert, and OTA updates.

Colour Options

Customers can purchase the Orbiter in 6 colors, including Neon Sunburst, Stratos Blue, Lunar Grey, Stellar Silver, Cosmic Titanium, and Martian Copper.

Price and Booking

The ex-showroom price of the TVS Orbiter is Rs 99,900. It has been released in only one variant. Customers can book it on the company’s website by paying a refundable token amount of Rs 5,001. The first deliveries are expected to start after Diwali 2025.
