TVS’ subsidiary, has just launched their new ADV motorcycles in the United Kingdom, home turf of Norton brand. For Britain, Norton Atlas ADV motorcycle lineup starts from GBP 8,250 (approximately Rs 10.56 lakh) and is expected to be launched in India by the end of calendar year 2026.
India pricing will be much more attractive as Norton Atlas and Atlas GT will be manufactured at TVS’ manufacturing facility in Hosur. With local production, Norton Atlas and Atlas GT will be priced to compete against other twinners like BMW F 450 GS (Rs 4.7 lakh+), Honda NX500 (Rs 7.44 lakh) and others.

Ahead of their launch, TVS Norton Atlas and Atlas GT have been spied testing in India multiple times around TVS’ manufacturing facility in Hosur. It has to be noted that Atlas is more adventure focussed as it gets wire-spoke wheels while Atlas GT is a more road-biased touring machine with alloy wheels at both ends.
Norton has not revealed the full specs differences between Atlas and Atlas GT. Instead, they have sort of clubbed Atlas and Atlas GT into one and then differentiated them from Atlas Apex, which is a higher-tier variant with specific features, creature comforts and equipment like electronic combined braking, heated grips, TPMS, vehicle hold assist, adjustable windshield and cornering lights.

Atlas Apex weighs more at 192 kg, while standard Atlas model weighs 188 kg. Both come with a 15.4L fuel tank, 845 mm seat height, 220 mm ground clearance, 1,465 mm wheelbase and other specs. Matrix Black and Trophy Silver along with optional Verona Green and Sinopia Orange are the standard colour options. Only Apex gets Glacier Blue.
In the specs, only the standard Atlas is advertised with adjustable tension damping with hydraulic preload adjustment for rear mono-shock, while KYB USD fully adjustable forks are common between both with 180 mm travel. Twin 320 mm disc brakes at the front and 270 mm rear disc, 19-inch front (110/80) and 17-inch rear (150/70) wheels are common between both too.

Attributes like 2-into 1 exhaust, steel trellis frame, cast aluminium swingarm, adjustable hand levers, aluminium footpegs with removable rubber, LED twin-projector headlights, 8-inch TFT touchscreen cluster with Bluetooth, music and call controls, navigation and GoPro controls, telematics, Norton Rider app integration, 5 riding modes (Urban, Rain, Sport, Tour, Enduro) are found with both .
Only Apex gets LED puddle lamps, adjustable foot levers, aluminium sump protection, rear luggage kit, pillion handle kit and more. The engine is the same with both models which is a 585cc DOHC parallel twin unit with 270-degree crank eking out (nice) 69 bhp and 57.5 Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch and a bi-directional quick shifter.
