New Delhi: The search for India’s next football stars reached Hyderabad as the Indian Tigers and Tigresses Season 2 selections were held at the Sreenidi Deccan Football Club grounds.
Coaches and scouts from Sreenidi Deccan FC are closely monitoring the skills and performance of young athletes in the Under-14 and Under-17 categories. Under the groundbreaking nationwide talent hunt, launched by TV9 Network, 30 probables will be shortlisted, and Hyderabad’s young talents are putting their best foot forward to secure a spot in that elite group.
The vision behind the hunt
The primary objective of this initiative by TV9 Network is to identify gifted football players across India and provide them with the platform and resources needed to excel on the international stage. These trials are being conducted in multiple cities across the country, with hundreds of young players showcasing their grit and technique.

Global exposure for young athletes
The program has already proven its impact. In the first season, 12 girls and 16 boys earned a prestigious opportunity to receive advanced football training in Austria and Germany. Continuing that legacy, Season 2 will select the top 30 performers for specialised training and exposure.
Parents express gratitude
Parents attending the event in Hyderabad expressed their heartfelt thanks to TV9 Network. They highlighted that this program not only discovers raw talent but also bridges the gap between local potential and world-class training, giving their children a chance at global recognition.
All eyes are now on the field to see how many young stars from Hyderabad will make the final cut.
The German dream
Players who excel in these school-level trials will advance to the final round of News9 Indian Tigers and Tigresses Season 2. The 30 selected young players will receive specialised training in Germany, where they will train at world-class facilities under the guidance of top coaches.
Through TV9 Network’s partnership with the Bundesliga, these players will have the opportunity to make their mark internationally.

Historic first season
Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a historic send-off to the country’s top young footballers selected in the football talent hunt programme at the ‘What India Thinks Today 2025’ (WITT 2025) Global Summit in New Delhi. Organised by TV9, India’s largest news network, the Global Summit was held in March 2025 at the Bharat Mandapam in Delhi.
Following the successful tour of Europe, the young footballers were welcomed at home by Honourable Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Austrian Ambassador to India, Katharina Wieser, at the Austrian Embassy.
