The closing ceremony saw Union Minister Harsh Malhotra as the chief guest, who applauded the initiative and honoured ten truck drivers on stage for their inspirational service and contribution to road safety. The event reached thousands of drivers across states and connected millions through digital platforms.
Among those felicitated were Vinod Singh, Sunil Kumar, Gurcharan Singh, Yusuf, Shyam Murari, Santosh, Jugraj, Nandram, Satish, and Azharuddin. All of them were applauded for their dedication and integrity.
The program also featured a series of panel discussions aimed at highlighting the overlooked aspects of a truck driver’s life.
The first session, titled “Gearing Up India: Skilling Drivers for an Inclusive Growth Journey,” focused on upskilling the driver workforce and included experts from the Logistics Skill Council, Shriram Finance, and TV9 Network.
The second discussion, “Steering to Financial Freedom,” featured Bhopal-based truck driver Yogita Raghuvanshi, who shared her journey in a male-dominated profession.
