Dr. Prashant Nag, Chief Operations and Medical Officer at Radcliffe Labs
Anemia in women: Important questions related to heart diseases were discussed in the Health Conclave of TV9 India. During this, doctors expressed their opinion on heart and BP disease. It was found in the discussion that according to the data of Red Cliff Lab – almost every third woman in the country is suffering from anemia. This problem is common in both urban and rural areas and the reason behind this is not only physical, but also social and cultural.
Dr. Prashant Nag, Chief Operations and Medical Officer at Redcliff Labs Told that- Most of the women are so busy in home, children and work throughout the day that they are unable to eat on time for themselves. She leaves breakfast in the morning runaway, eats lunch late or eat many times only when you make it for everyone. Not only this, whoever eats, the amount of nutrition is often less in it. Only the stomach filling food cannot meet the needs of the body.
Lack of nutrition due to iron and vitamin deficiency
Dr. Prashant Nag said that women’s diet often lacks necessary elements like iron, folic acid, vitamin B12 and protein. Without adding green vegetables, pulses, fruits or dry fruits, the body does not get the necessary nutrition only with roti-vegetables or rice. This deficiency gradually takes the form of anemia.
Eating the last plate of the house
Even today in Indian society, many women eat all the members of the house after feeding and that too that survives. These habits give rise to severe nutritional deficiency. Many times women compromise themselves in food so that the rest of the members can get full quantity.

– Get regular check -up of hemoglobin, especially on complaints of pregnancy or excessive bleeding.
– Take iron tablets or supplements with the advice of a doctor.
