Famous TV actor Ashish Kapoor got bail from Delhi Court after 9 days in the rape case. The court has approved bail, pointing to the flaws in the current evidence and police investigation. Actor can now come out of JL on 12 September.
TV Actor Ashish Kapoor Gets Bail: TV actor Ashish Kapoor was accused of raping a woman last month. It was arrested on September 3, 2025 after accusing him of rape during a house party in Delhi. According to ANI, on Friday, September 10, 2025, the Tis Hazari Court of Delhi has given bail to Ashish with conditions. The actor is known for his acting in serials such as Saraswati Chandra, seen a dream and a malaki relationship. He was in jail for the last 9 days. The court has also questioned the functioning of the police in its order.
Sessions judge accepted bail on merit
Giving bail, Additional Session Judge Bhupinder Singh said, “Ashish Kapoor is accused of looking at the allegations and current evidence at this time, he has been accused for the first time. The facts that have come up, there are also suspicious circumstances. The accused is a permanent resident of Delhi, he is not expected to escape. The bail suit was approved with some conditions.

Flaws found in investigation
The police had sought a 5 -day PC remand for Ashish, but the Central District First Class Judicial Magistrate allowed him only four days. However, he was produced in court in only three days. At the same time, the court pointed to the flaws in the investigation. The court said, “Despite being taken on PC remand, no honest effort was made to recover the mobile phone. According to the law, no search was taken. There is nothing in the record that the accused did not cooperate in the investigation.” On this basis, the court granted bail to Ashish Kapoor.
