After this, mother went straight to Bappa. She humbly expressed her feelings to Lord Ganesha and said that she wanted to marry him. Ganesh ji rejected his proposal. Tulsi Mata became very sad due to this. Tulsi felt very insulted. As a result, Mata became angry and cursed Ganesha. He told Ganesha that he would have two marriages.
Ganesha got angry
It was due to the curse of Tulsi Mata that Lord Ganesha married two divine sisters named Riddhi and Siddhi. Ganesha also became angry with his curse and then cursed Tulsi. Ganesha cursed Tulsi that she would be married to a demon. As a result, Tulsi was married to Jalandhar, a demon from the Rakshasa clan.

According to the legend, when Tulsi Mata realized her mistake, she sought forgiveness from Lord Ganesha. Ganesha also told Mother Tulsi that she would have no use in her worship. This is the reason why Tulsi is not offered in the worship of Ganesha.
