Trump’s threat on Apple ineffective, iPhone production starts from another plant in India!

Trump’s threat ineffective, Apple extends production in India

Apple has once again increased its iPhone production in India, ignoring the pressure of China and America. Foxconn, the world’s largest iPhone-making company, has started manufacturing iPhone-17 in its new plant near Bangalore. This is Foxconn’s second major plant in India. Already the company was making iPhone-17 in Chennai, but now its production has started in Bengaluru.

According to a CNBC report, Foxconn has set up its new plant by investing about $ 2.8 billion (about Rs 25,000 crore) in Devanhali, Bengaluru. The production of iPhone-17 here has now started on small scale. This is Foxconn’s second largest factory outside China. The inauguration of the new plant in Bangalore is already part of Apple’s plan to increase production in India after being a major plant in Chennai.

Trump’s threat ineffective, Apple extends production in India

US President Donald Trump had asked the legendary tech company Apple to stop production in India. But on the contrary, the company has increased its production in India. A few months ago, Trump spoke to Apple CEO Tim Cook during the Qatar Yatra. Trump had said, “Yesterday I had some problems with Tim Cook. Cook is building plants in India and I do not want Apple to build plants in India.”

Trump claimed that after this conversation, Apple will now increase its production in America. He also said, “We are not interested in building your plant in India. India can take care of itself.” But Apple completely ignored Trump’s threat and increased his production in India.

The number of iPhone will increase in India

Apple has already announced that by the end of this year, the production of iPhone in India will be increased to six crore units. Last year, the company built around 3.5 to 4 crore iPhone, which is now planned to increase to six crores. Apple CEO Tim Cook recently said that most of the iPhone sold in America will be imported from India, which is an important step towards becoming India’s production hub.
