Many large and American multinational companies are now being completely boycotted in the country. There is a wave of protest against America in India. An angry Donald Trump has imposed a 50% tax on India on buying oil from Russia, which is the highest in the world.
American multinational companies like Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Subway, KFC, McDonald’s are being boycotted inside India in protest against the tariff. Apart from this, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev has asked Indians to do so. Talking about, he said, ‘A single Indian should not be seen at the counter of Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Sabway, KFC or McDonald’s. There should be such a big boycott. Only when this happens, America will realize its mistake. Only then will the problem be resolved. He fully supported the indigenous campaign.
There is already a boycott of American goods in other parts of the world such as France, United Kingdom (Britain) and Canada. Therefore, if India with a population of 1.5 billion now boycott American companies, the US may face heavy losses and serious challenges. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also appealed people to use indigenous products. The Prime Minister has been urging Indians to buy and use indigenous goods from the beginning.
Criticizing US President Donald Trump, the Prime Minister had said that the politics of economic selfishness is going on all over the world and everyone is engaged in protecting their selfishness. On August 6, Trump said that India would also be fined 25% with a mutual fee of 25%. It has come into force from 27 August itself. Trump wants economic restrictions to all countries of the world on Russia fighting Ukraine. So Trump says that India should not buy oil from Russia. But in changing the attitude of America, which always holds a long history of inciting many small countries of the world against powerful countries, the Prime Minister of India and India’s politics is not ready to accept at any cost. This is the reason that now Trump has tried to take revenge by imposing 50% tax on India who does not obey his point.
