Trump’s high-stakes meetings with Indian Industry titans at WEF Davos 2026

New Delhi: US President Donald Trump, who is set to deliver a keynote address at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026 in Davos, is also expected to meet top Indian industry leaders including Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons.

President Trump would also be meeting Anish Shah, Group CEO, Mahindra Group, Salil S Parekh, CEO, Infosys, Srini Pallia, CEO, Wipro, Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman, Bharti Enterprises, Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman and Managing Director, Bajaj Finserv, Hari S Bhartia, Founder and Co-Chairman, Jubilant Bhartia Group.

Mukesh Ambani, Nikhil Kamath to attend WEF 2026

More than 100 Indian corporate leaders are attending the World Economic Forum 2026 Summit. Over 130 countries are participating in the event and around 3000 delegates are expected to attend.

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries, Sudarshan Venu, CEO, TVS Motor, Nandan Nilekani, Co-founder, Infosys, Nikhil Kamath, Co-founder, Zerodha, Rishad Premji, Chairman, Wipro, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder, Paytm are also attending the WEF event.

Trump’s meeting with Indian corporate leaders comes at a crucial juncture. The US has imposed a 50% tariff on Indian goods entering America.

The World Economic Forum event is being held in Davos, Switzerland, from January 19 to 23. Several world leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will also mark their presence.

India-US trade talks

Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal recently said that India and the US are engaged in trade deal talks. “Both sides are engaged (in trade deal talks)…and both sides feel that there can be a trade deal,” he said.

The secretary further confirmed that Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and United States Trade Representative Jamieson Greer held a virtual meeting in December 2025.
