US President Donald Trump has announced a 25 percent additional tariff on India on Wednesday. A few days ago, Trump imposed 25 percent tariff on India buying oil from Russia. Now the total tariff of America on India has become 50 percent. 24 hours ago, Donald Trump threatened to increase the tariff on India. This tariff will be implemented from August 27 this month.
Earlier, Trump had announced a 25 percent tariff on July 30 before the end of the deadline of August 1. Later it was extended for 7 days. After this, 25 percent additional tariff has been announced before 7 July. This means that the tariff on India on India has increased to 50 percent. That is, 50 percent import duty will be charged on goods going from India to America. This tariff will affect India’s export in America.

Trump had said in an interview to CNBC that if India continues to buy oil from Russia, the tariff will be increased further. Trump had indicated that he could increase the tariff up to 250 percent percent on pharma imports, which could be the biggest tariff ever proposed by his side. He will start with small tariffs, but is planning to increase it gradually within 18 months. First 150 percent and finally 250 percent will be taken.
