Iran Rejects Trump’s Ceasefire Claim: Amidst the increasing tension in the Middle East, Iran has completely rejected Donald Trump’s ceasefire claim. Iran taunted that Trump was making an “April Fool”. Also clarified that there has been no change of power in the country.
Amidst the ongoing tension in the Middle East, the rhetoric between Iran and America is increasing. Meanwhile, Iran has completely rejected a claim by former US President Donald Trump. Trump had claimed that Tehran had appealed for a ceasefire, but Iran called it “baseless and false”.
According to news agency Reuters, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson quoted state television as saying that Trump’s statement is factually incorrect and has no connection with reality. Iran clarified that no ceasefire request has been made from its side.
“Making April Fools” – Iran’s taunt on Trump
Iran reacted strongly to Trump’s statement and also took a jibe. Iran’s Mumbai-based Consulate General said Trump was making people “April Fools” because the president of a country does not change with a social media post. Iran clarified that Masoud Pezeshkian was the President of the country earlier and is still in the same position. That means there has been no change of power in Iran. Iran says Trump’s claims are misleading and their purpose is to create a political atmosphere.

Controversy started from social media post
In fact, Trump had said in a post on his social media platform Truth Social that Iran’s “new regime” had appealed to him for a ceasefire. But there has been no official confirmation of any change in leadership in Iran, raising questions on Trump’s statement. Trump had also said that America could consider this proposal if the Strait of Hormuz is reopened. After this statement, regional tension seems to be increasing further.
Different signs regarding ending the war
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in an interview that Iran is ready for any situation. He said in clear words that no country should talk to the people of Iran in a threatening tone.
Trump said that the ongoing conflict with Iran may end soon, but it is difficult to give a definite deadline. He also claimed that Iran’s nuclear capability has weakened significantly after American action.
America did not get support
It is noteworthy that America did not get the support of many of its allies in this entire matter. Countries like United Kingdom, Spain and France have refused to support America in this conflict. On this, Trump gave a sharp reaction and said that the countries which are facing oil crisis, should either buy oil from America or show courage and bring oil from the Strait of Hormuz.
Increasing tension, but solution still far away
Experts believe that this increasing tension in the Middle East can affect both the global oil market and international politics. At present, the rhetoric between America and Iran is intense, but signs of any concrete diplomatic solution are not clearly visible yet.
