Truck Driver Salary: Truck drivers earn more than IT people, businessman said – Now leave your ego, brother. Delhi Entrepreneur Daman Singh Says Truck Drivers Earn More Than It Professionals

According to businessman Daman Singh, truck drivers save more than urban IT professionals. IT professionals’ earnings go towards rent and EMIs, while drivers build houses in villages due to lower expenses.

Daman Singh, a young businessman from Delhi has said something which has gone viral on the internet. He says that his truck drivers save more than big IT professionals in cities. Daman had made an Instagram post on the difference between the salary and expenses of new people in the IT sector, which is now in the news. Let us tell you that Daman Singh himself is an engineer from BITS Pilani and MBA from Delhi University and runs his family business, Daman Group.

He gave the example of an IT engineer working in metro cities. Suppose his starting salary is Rs 40,000. 30% of it goes towards rent only. On top of that, taxes and Zomato bills. At the end of the month only Rs 5,000 are left in hand. This money also goes towards the EMI of the iPhone and the engineer’s savings are zero.

At the same time, a heavy duty truck driver takes home Rs 45,000 to Rs 55,000 a month. He neither has to pay expensive city rent nor has to worry about income tax. Daman says, ‘When the engineer is paying the installment of the iPhone, the driver is building a house in his village.’ He also said that people look down on trucks because of their filth, but do not look at their bank balance.

People gave different types of reactions to this post of Daman. One wrote, ‘My truck driver has his own car.’ Some people said that there is a lot of difference between foreign trucks and India’s old ‘Khatara’ trucks, hence this comparison is not right. Another user said that truck driving requires a lot of physical effort, it is not as easy as an IT job. On this Daman retorted and asked, ‘Is the life of an IT professional so easy?’
