Triumph Thruxton 400 Launch Details: Triumph is all set to launch its 400cc cafe racer, the Thruxton 400, in India today. The brand is planning to expand its lineup, and this will be the brand’s fourth addition to its existing lineup of 400cc motorcycles in the country. The Thruxton 400 has been spotted testing for quite some time now, and it was spotted completely undisguised in leaked images ahead of its official launch.
Triumph Thruxton 400: Design
The leaked images suggest that the bike will feature a round neo-retro styled headlight similar to what we have seen on the Speed 400. The bike gets a semi-fairing at the front, which extends to the tank. The bike gets clip-on handlebars with mirrors on the bar ends, and it also features a fresh taillight design. Except for a few fresh elements, the bike looks similar to its sibling, the Speed 400.

Triumph Thruxton 400: Powertrain
Triumph’s India lineup currently comprises a total of 3 bikes: the Speed 400, Speed T4, and the Scrambler 400. All of these bikes share the same engine, and the upcoming Thruxton will also share its powertrain with the existing lineup. It is expected to be powered by the same 398cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. The engine will be paired to a 6-speed gearbox, and it can churn out a peak power and torque output of 39 hp and 37 Nm, respectively.

Triumph Thruxton 400: Cycle Parts & Expected Price
As informed earlier, Thruxton shares its looks and a lot of its parts with the Speed 400. The suspension duty on the 400cc cafe racer from Triumph will be handled by a USD telescopic fork at the front and an adjustable monoshock suspension at the rear. The braking system includes disc brakes on both ends, and the motorcycle also offers ABS for enhanced safety. Similar to the Speed 400, the Thruxton 400 also features a semi-digital instrument cluster. The Speed 400 prices in the country start at Rs 2.46 lakh (Ex-showroom). While the Thruxton is heavily based on the Speed 400, it features some fresh and distinct elements as well. We expect the bike to be priced between Rs 2.55 lakh (Ex-showroom) and Rs 2.60 lakh (Ex-showroom).
