After downsizing their 400 lineup in India to 350cc class, has given a new colour with Scrambler 400X. This is the first-ever update to this motorcycle since it was updated with the new 349cc engine. Triumph Motorcycles India announced this new colour for Scrambler 400X through their social media handles.
This new colourway is a play of two colours (both matte in finish) and lend a stealthy aesthetic. The colours include Matte Pewter Grey and it gets a Matte Khaki Band. “New Shade, Same Attitude” was the caption as the company announced this new colourway with their Scrambler 400X.

Where pricing is concerned, Triumph has retained the same Rs 2.65 lakh (Ex-sh) price tag with Scrambler 400X Matte Pewter Grey with Matte Khakhi Band colourway. Other three colours on offer, are also priced at Rs 2.65 lakh (Ex-sh). Speaking of, they are Phantom Black / Silver Ice, Matte Khaki Green / Fusion White and Lava Red Satin / Phantom Black.
The new colourway can be seen in prominence on its fuel tank where Pewter Grey base paint is complimented by a slash of Khakhi band. Both these shades get a matte finish, as suggested by the name. Other than this new colour, there are not changes with Scrambler 400X and it continues with the same equipment and features list.
Attributes like teardrop fuel tank with grippy tank pads, circular LED headlights, oval shaped number board in side panel like in a racing bike, circular ORVMs, split seat, knuckle guards, upswept exhaust with twin pod end can, matte black finish on engine bay with machined finish highlights, on/off road tyres and others are still present.
Any other changes?
The same semi-digital instrument cluster where tacho is digital and speedo is analogue, 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel setup, USD front forks finished in Gold shade, rear mono-shock setup, LED turn indicators are the same as before. Only change with this update is this new Matte Pewter Grey with Matte Khakhi Band colourway.
Triumph Motorcycles India has had quite a bit of a roller coaster as the brand debuted their TR Series 400cc class motorcycles and then had to downsize to 350cc class to adhere to revised GST 2.0 tax structure. This new 349cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine on Scrambler 400X makes 37.5 PS and 32 Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
