Triumph have a one-off Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer DGR Edition

New Delhi: Triumph Motorcycles is quite heavy on having highly exclusive special editions of their existing models, and they have something quite outrageous right now as well. The British marque has revealed a one-of-a-kind Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer DGR Edition. It is quite a name to come with; it has been built as the Gentlefolk prize for this year’s Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride.

It is basically a limited edition of an already limited edition model. Based on the Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer Limited Edition that was revealed back in January with just 800 units on the line, the DGR Edition goes even one step further, coming with exclusive styling and new materials.

Just one unit is going to be awarded through a random draw, rider need to register for the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2026 and unlock all four profile badges before the campaign shuts.

To meet conditions, you have to complete the rider profile, make a personal donation, make a donation to a random gentlefolk to earn the ‘Pay it forward’ badge, and rase minimum of USD $250.

The Speed Twin 1200 DGR Edition comes with an exclusive colour scheme drawing inspiration from the British Racing Green, mixing Competition Green and Aluminium Silver body paint with Aluminium Silver wheels and a colour-coded Competition Green headlight bowl.

Taking cues from original British cafe racers of the 1960s, it puts on the clip-on handlebars and new Harris Tweed bullet seat that Triumph says is made from authenticated, handwoven fabric from the Outer Hebrides. The clip-ons promote an aggressive riding triangle, with the rider staying low and packed around the fuel tank.

The single-seat configuration with a back cowl completes the rest of the cafe race looks. Machined bar-end mirrors decrease the silhouette to a more streamlined form, while details like ribbed clutch and alternator badges, black head bolt covers and sculpted knee pads make it distinctive.

These come along with a 15 Years of Dapper anniversary graphic and number board, along with a unique Certificate of Authenticity, making it ideal for collectors.

Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Cafe Racer DGR Edition powertrain and mechanics

This edition of the Speed Twin 1200 still draws power from the Bonneville 1200 parallel-twin engine that goes up to 8,000 rpm with a 270-degree firing order to give that distinctive feel and a low-inertia crankshaft for the strong throttle responses. It makes 105 bhp and 112 Nm of torque.

The parallel-twin powerplant is still housed with a tubular frame with steel cradles, held up by 43 mm Marzochhi USD front forks and Ohlins twins RSUs, both adjustable for pre-load, compression and rebound. The motorcycle comes on 17-inch cast aluminium alloys with Metzeler Racetec RR K3 tyres, with braking being handled by twin 320 mm discs between Brembo Stylema M4.30 radical callipers.
