Tripura sundari mandir: The Tripura Sundari Temple is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths of Devi Shakti. This temple is also known as Tripureshwari Temple. This temple is located about three kilometers from Udaipur city of Agartala, the capital of North Eastern Pradesh Tripura, India. It is believed that the marks of the right toes of Mother Sati are still present at this place. There is a crowd of devotees in this temple at all times and devotees come here to see Mother Sati.
This temple of Mata Tripura Sundari is famous for its miraculous beliefs. It is one of the 51 Shaktipeeths. Wherever any part or part of the body of mother Sati fell, Shaktipeeth was established there. This temple was built during the reign of Maharaja Blessed Manikya during 1501 AD. The form of mother is very miraculous. It is believed that the form of the mother changes three times a day, in the morning Kumaraka (Bal Roop), Yauvana (young form) in the mid -day and adult in the evening (mature form). This is why they are called “Tripura Sundari”.
Devi Shakti Swaroop
Mother Tripura Sundari is of 18 arms, which have nine forms of Durga. Maa Singh is seated on Mayur and Lotus. It is believed that the sorrows and pains of the devotees are removed by mere vision of the mother in this temple.
System practice
Tripura Sundari, who is the third Mahavidya among the ten Mahavidyas, is considered the main goddess of Tantric practice. Tripura Sundari means “Sundari of three worlds. Tantra Sadhana has special significance in this temple, where seekers make spiritual progress through Srividya worship.
Inauguration with redevelopment on 22 September
A grand fair is organized here during Deepawali, in which lakhs of devotees participate. This grand temple will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi after redevelopment and beautification on the first day of Navratri in the year 2025 i.e. 22 September, Monday. The temple of Mata Tripura Sundari has been built on the lines of the temple of Kashi, Ram Janmabhoomi.
