Tribute to the martyr Uda Devi of 1857, self-respect ceremony begins in Lucknow

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and CM Yogi Adityanath will unveil the statue of Veerangana Uda Devi Pasi in Lucknow on Sunday. Self-respect ceremony will also begin on the sacrifice day of 1857 heroine Uda Devi, in which many ministers and public representatives will participate.

Self-respect ceremony will begin

Along with the unveiling of the statue, ‘Swabhiman Samaroh’ will also be inaugurated. This program will be held on Sunday morning at 10 am, at Pasi intersection, Sector-19, Vrindavan Colony. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak and many other public representatives will also be present on this occasion.

Uda Devi’s courage in the revolution of 1857

Heroine Uda Devi Pasi was a brave woman of the first Indian freedom struggle of 1857, who with her indomitable courage and bravery killed 36 British soldiers and attained martyrdom. In memory of his courage and sacrifice, a program is organized every year on his Martyrdom Day.
