The Railway Board has decided to run 150 Pooja Special trains from 21 September to 30 November. A notification has been issued for this. These trains will work to handle the crowd of passengers in the festive season. For this, these trains will make a total of 2,024 rounds throughout the season. Recently, 12 thousand special trains have been announced by the Ministry of Railways. The first batch has been revealed as 150 trains. More special trains may be announced in the coming days. Where will how many trains will run from
- Railway officials said that under the Pooja Special Train Series, South Central Railway will run maximum 48 trains, which will complete 684 rounds. A press release issued by the Railways said that these trains will be operated mainly from major stations like Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Vijayawada.
- East Central Railway has notified 14 trains which will pass through major stations like Patna, Gaya, Darbhanga and Muzaffarpur in Bihar and make a total of 588 rounds.
- Officials said the Eastern Railway Zone, which is one of the busiest routes, will run 24 special trains from crowded stations such as Kolkata, Sealdah and Howrah, which will make 198 rounds.
- According to officials, Western Railway has announced 24 special trains to run 204 rounds from cities like Mumbai, Surat, Vadodara.
- While Southern Railway has also prepared to run 10 such trains from stations like Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai to run 66 rounds.
- Apart from this, special trains will be run from Eastern Coast Railway from Bhubaneswar, Puri and Sambalpur, South Eastern Railway to Ranchi, Tatanagar, North Central Railway to Prayagraj, Kanpur, South East Central Railway to Bilaspur, Raipur and West Central Railway to Special trains connecting stations like Kota.
Railway Ministry announced 12 thousand special trains
The Railway Ministry has recently announced 12,000 special trains from different parts of the country during the festive season and officials said that this is the first batch of special trains whose notification has been issued. Officials said that in view of the needs related to traveling of passengers, notification of more trains will be issued in the coming days. This means that more special trains can be announced for passengers in the coming months. In the last few years, the number of railway passengers has seen a lot of increase. Due to which a lot of congestion has been seen at railway stations. During the Kumbh Mela, many people lost their lives due to stampede at New Delhi railway station.
