She stated, “It hasn’t sunk in yet, and I’m at a loss for words. I can’t accept the way he left us. Anik da was more than just a director; he was like a father to me, and we shared a unique bond.”
Reflecting on their professional relationship, she described Dutta as a dedicated professional. “After we completed Bhooter Bhabishyat, I became occupied with other projects. He reached out for future collaborations, but unfortunately, they never materialized. Now, I can’t imagine working with him again,” she lamented. She emphasized Dutta’s significant contributions to Bengali cinema, stating, “He was instrumental in launching many careers and revitalizing the industry. Bhooter Bhabishyat exists because of his vision. I have yet to see another film that matches its brilliance.” Concluding her tribute, she expressed her heartbreak, saying, “He was a wonderful person, and things will never be the same without him.
