Trackhouse rejects ultimatum for Raúl Fernández: ‘He has a contract and we will respect it’

Raúl Fernández has been underperforming in MotoGP so far in 2025. However, dismissal or an ultimatum to deliver results is not part of Trackhouse’s plans.

At least, that was the assurance from team principal Davide Brivio in statements to Motorsport.com: ‘Raúl has a contract and we will absolutely respect that. There are no dates or ultimatums, but it’s clear that Raúl needs to react – and he needs to do it for himself’.

At 24 years of age, Fernández is in his fourth MotoGP season. In 2024, he had a consistent performance, with several top-ten finishes and came close to outperforming teammate Miguel Oliveira in the championship.

However, this year has been very difficult for the Spaniard: seventh place in France was his best result so far, but he stands 18th in the championship, 28 points behind his teammate – rookie Ai Ogura, who is tenth.
