Strong front look
The front design of the new Fortuner is not as sleek and sharp as before, but is more powerful. Its main attraction will be the new sleek LED headlights with C-shaped LED DRLs. The grille has also been completely redesigned, now with ‘TOYOTA’ written in place of the logo in the middle. Talking about the grille, the new Fortuner has a large grille with a black honeycomb pattern in the middle.
Additionally, it will have a bold front bumper with LED DRL strips surrounding it and vertical air vents. This time the SUV will also have ADAS, whose radar sensor is installed in the lower middle part of the bumper. A skid plate and LED fog lights will also be found in the lower front part of the SUV.
Large 19-inch alloy wheels
The side profile of the new Fortuner is similar to the existing model, as it is built on the IMV ladder-frame architecture. The doors, windows and side panels are almost identical. The Fortuner is expected to come with larger 19-inch alloy wheels.
Its lower variants may include new 18-inch alloy wheels. The rear of the new Fortuner looks different from the current model. It is more boxy and has new LED taillights with a connecting LED light in the middle. There’s also an integrated spoiler at the rear and a new, sharp bumper.
The biggest change is in its cabin
The biggest change in Toyota Fortuner will be seen in its cabin. It is expected that Toyota will include all the modern features in the new Fortuner that are found in other SUVs in this segment. The new generation Fortuner is expected to have a new and more modern dashboard and cabin layout.
It will include a 12.3-inch stand-alone touchscreen infotainment system, 12.3-inch digital instrument gauges, a new steering wheel inspired by the Land Cruiser FJ and Prado, ventilated and powered front seats, a new center console with more physical buttons, dual-zone automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a premium audio system and many other modern features.
2.4-litre petrol strong-hybrid engine
The new Toyota Fortuner is expected to have the same 2.8-litre diesel engine that generates 201 bhp power and 500 Nm torque. This engine will also have a mild-hybrid system. The second option is 2.7-litre petrol engine. According to reports, the Fortuner may also get a 2.4-litre petrol strong-hybrid engine. The Fortuner is expected to be launched in India by the end of 2026 or early next year. Its price is expected to be between Rs 40 lakh to Rs 50 lakh.
