New Delhi: Toyota have recalled the 10th-gen Camry sold in India in order to fix a potential issue with the 360-degree camera system. The voluntary recall, issued on October 30th, will affect 2,257 units of the premium executive sedan.
According to documents from SIAM, the recall is going to address an issue with the parking assist ECU, which is part of Toyota’s Panoramic View Monitor (PMV) system, the brand’s name for a 360-degree camera setup. A software error could result in the display on the infotainment screen freezing while reversing or prevent any image from being shown if the ignition is switched on or off within a certain timeframe.
2025 Toyota Camry features
Following the GST cut, the price of the Toyota Camry falls between Rs 47.48 lakh and Rs 47.62 lakh. Though unchallenged in its segment, the Camry is a good alternative to the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series LWB and the Mercedes C-Class. The sedan is powered by a 2.5-litre petrol engine that is mated with Toyota’s fifth-generation Hybrid System (THS 5) and makes 230 bhp.
With an ARAI efficiency of 25.49 kpl, it is one of the most fuel-efficient cars in India. The Camry Sprint Edition was launched in August of this year and comes dual paint job and dealer-level ambient lighting on the inside and puddle lamps. Other features include the 12.3-inch infotainment system and digital driver’s display, powered ventilated front seats, three-zone climate control, nine-speaker JBL sound system and a host of other goodies that put it in a dimension of its own.
